Metroparks and Mint Artists Guild Coloring Book on Park Adventures
![]() |
Huron-Clinton Metroparks and Mint Artists Guild announce their partnership on a project aimed at inspiring young minds and promoting the wonders of nature. Together, they are creating a coloring book about adventures kids could have at the Metroparks over summer. Through this collaboration, Metroparks and Mint Artists Guild seek to provide engaging educational content, foster creativity, encourage outdoor exploration and support local artistic talent.
Mint Artists Guild artist Natasha Guest is the illustrator of the coloring book that will feature four friends and their summer exploration of some of the 13 Metroparks.
“The coloring book, targeted towards children aged 4 to 8, aims to ignite the imagination and love for nature through engaging illustrations and narrative. Each page captures the essence of some possible adventures and encourages children to explore the great outdoors,” says Amy McMillan, director of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks.
She adds, “This new partnership with Mint Artists Guild is exciting on many levels. We get to work with youth artists on a project that they can showcase their talents and produce a piece that they can use to build their future career in the arts. We get to share the adventure and wonders of the Metroparks through something fun and tangible for children. And most of all we get to create and develop a partnership that can grow and provide long-lasting impact on local youth artists.”
